Blend modes in Jitter

You can now use blend modes in your Jitter animations. This can help you add depth, texture, and lighting effects. You can apply it to any layer; just select it on the canvas, go to Opacity, click the drop icon, and choose a blend mode.

New in Stark

Stark added a few updates this week including:

  • Storybook Add-on (beta): You can now add the Stark add-on in Storybook to use the Vision Simulator to see how a component will look for different types of visual disabilities and the WCAG audit functionality.
  • Figma Slides plugin: You no longer have an excuse to create inaccessible slides. The Stark plugin now also works in Slides to check contrast and typography, simulate different visions, and do automated scans and fixes.
  • Sitemap URL import: No need to add individual URLs anymore, just link your sitemap URL and Stark will figure out what to look for.

Prompt to State Machines in LottieFiles Creator

With the new Prompt to State Machines feature in Creator, you can automatically generate interactive animations with states, transitions, and logic. All with just a prompt, so you can create animations much faster.

Penpot 2.11

The latest Penpot release adds quite some different features, including:

  • New typography tokens that group different individual tokens as composite tokens. This way you can combine size, family, line-height, ... tokens into a single one. More composite tokens are coming in future updates.
  • Multiple variants can now be updated at once, shortcuts to create new variants have been added and you can drag-and-drop properties to reorder them.
  • MCP Server, the first release of Penpot's MCP server is now available.

Custom Fonts 2.0 in Framer

Framer updated how custom fonts are displayed, you can now group them by family, see realtime previews, improved support for variable properties and better management.
